Q1. How long have you been learning at Dominion English School-Auckland please?
오클랜드 도미니언 학교에서 얼마나 공부를 하셨습니까?
A1.It’s 32 weeks all together, so far I’ve studied 20 weeks, 12 weeks to go.
총 기간은 32주 이고, 지금까지 20주간 공부를 해왔습니다. 앞으로 12주 남았네요.
 
Q2. Which course did you take please?
어떤 과정을 공부하셨습니까?
A2. At first, General English course, full-time for 9 weeks then, took the Cambridge exam preparation course (FCE-First Certificate Course), it’s a 12 weeks course. Currently back to General English Course for a while then I am going to join TECSOL course for 4 weeks which I study with Ayaka back again.
처음에는 9주간 풀타임 일반영어 과정을 밟았습니다. 그리고 나서 12주간, 캠브리지 FCE시험 준비과정을 밟았습니다. 현재 다시 일반영어 과정으로 돌아왔고, 다음에 아야카와 함께 4주간 TECSOL코스를 공부할 예정입니다.
 
Q3. Why did you choose Dominion?
왜 도미니언 학교를 선택하셨습니까?
A3. My elder sister studied at Dominion about 2 years ago. She also stayed for a long term, took Cambridge (FCE) and passed! She strongly recommended Dominion to me.
저의 친언니가 2년전 도미니언 학교에서 공부를 했었습니다. 그녀는 장기간동안 뉴질랜드에 머물렀고, 캠브리지 수업을 듣고 합격했습니다. 그녀는 도미니언 학교를 저에게 적극 추천해주었습니다.

Q4. Perhaps you’d heard from your sister what her life like was in New Zealand. What did she tell you please?
아마 당신은 그녀의 뉴질랜드 생활이 어땠는지 들었겠군요. 그녀는 어떤 점을 얘기했습니까?
A4. Yes, a lot of things but first of all, it was about Cambridge (FCE) which she studied so hard but also had fun, a lot of fun. My sister made good friends from other countries and this could be one of the benefits for becoming a fluent English speaker. One of these is from Japan too and keeping in touch with her until now.
네 많은 것을 얘기해 주었습니다. 하지만 무엇보다도, 그것은 그녀가 가장 열심히 공부하고 즐겼던 캠브리지(FCE) 과정에 대한 것이었습니다. 저희 언니는 다른 나라에서 온 많은 친구들을 사귀었고, 이것은 영어를 유창하게 말하게 해 주는 많은 장점중 하나일 것입니다. 그 친구들 중 한명은 역시 일본에서 온 사람이었고, 지금까지 그녀와 연락을 하고 지내고 있습니다.

Q5. Did you also make a lot of friends at Dominion?
당신 또한 도미니언에서 많은 친구들을 사귀었습니까?
A5. Yes, of course. I found my best friend, Ayaka on the first day of Dominion as she also started on the same day. We went to have lunch together then found out that we were in the same class in the afternoon. Often we went out during weekend. Ayaka helped me to find share accommodation after I left my homestay. I lived near her so since then we even became closer friends, went to parties and often had dinner together.
네 물론이죠. 도미니언에 처음으로 온 날 아야카를 처음으로 만났습니다. 그녀도 저와 같은 날 시작했기 때문이죠. 우리는 함께 점심을 먹으러 나갔고, 나중에 우리가 오후에 같은 반이라는 것을 알았습니다. 주말에 우리는 종종 놀러 나갔습니다. 제가 홈스테이를 떠날 때에, 아야카는 제가 머무를 곳을 찾는 것을 도와주었습니다. 저는 그녀의 집 근처로 이사를 갔고, 그 이후로 우리는 더 가까운 친구가 될 수 있었습니다. 함께 파티도 가고 저녁도 먹으면서 말이죠.

Q6. What kind of person is Ayaka please?
아야카는 어떤 사람입니까?
A6. She is really kind. She is a bit older than I am but I don’t feel it at all. She is the kind of person who is willing to help me with my study. For example, I had dinner with her on the day before my FCE exam, to practise my speaking as well as relax prior to the stressful exam. She is a true and thoughtful friend.
그녀는 정말 친절합니다. 그녀는 저보다 나이가 조금 많지만, 전혀 그 나이 차를 느낄 수 없습니다. 그녀는 기꺼이 저의 공부를 도와주는 그런 사람입니다. 예를 들면, 저의 FCE시험 전날, 영어 말하기를 연습할 겸, 긴장되는 시험에 앞서 휴식을 취하기 위해 그녀와 저녁을 함께했습니다. 그녀는 진실하고 사려깊은 사람입니다.
