The Art Institute of Philadelphia에 재학중인 Alvaro Martinez 학생이 개인전에서 대상을 받았으며, 단체전에서는 The Art Institute of Colorado의 Arthur Bullock, Larry Battersby, Cody Cobler 학생들이 대상을 받음으로써 The Art Institute는 세계적으로 수준 높은 Animation School 임을 입증했습니다.

1. 3D Modeling for Animation & Games
컴퓨터를 기초로 하여 만들어지는 애니메이션으로 전통적인 기법과 현대과학이 결합되어 만들어 집니다. 학생들은 이 과정에서 조각술(sculpture), 라이프 드로잉(life drawing), 색체론(color theory), 캐릭터 모델링(character modeling), 명암(lighting), 디지털 이미징(digital imaging)을 배우게 됩니다.

2. Animation
애니메이션은 정밀한 작업을 통해 그 캐릭터를 마치 현실에 존재하는 듯 실물처럼 보이게 하는 것이며 연기와 이야기의 전달이자 시각예술의 하나입니다. 그리고 전자예술(electronics arts)과 전통적인 애니메이션 스킬(traditional animation skills)의 접목이라 할 수 있습니다. 애니메이션 과정에서 실제 같은 움직임을 3-D로 제작하는 법을 배우게 되며 팀으로 일하며 공동연구제작 하는 법을 배우게 됩니다.
